A bit more on the personal side, this recording reflects on the influence this fellowship has on my career and life, as I contemplate a major shift in the focus and form of my work. My previous focus on corporate communication has given me a lot of the analytical and practical perspectives that I bring to projects. And now, as I close out the first decade of my career, I'm permitting myself to explore my long-time interests in culture, heritage, identity and art as a social function in a more established and 'serious' way. This could take the form of research, school, travel, film, writing, a digital product or something I haven't even though of yet. So it's kind of wild that this fellowship fits so squarely into all of those areas. I see myself literally in the middle of a significant turn which is bound to have major impacts on my own future but hopefully on the culture, place and time I now occupy.
