Behind De Scenes: The Nieuwe Native Series EP 01 - Process as a Product - Tilting Axis 2024 Audio Journal

Join me in this episode as I begin to pull my thoughts together, following my first meeting with Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, one of the partners of the Tilting Axis Fellowship by Nieuwe Instituut + Tilting Axis. The museum's Head of Research and Curatorial Practice, Charl Landvreud said something super interesting to me: "We're not so much concerned with the outcome, as much as the process. Feel free to think of the process as a product as well". This blew my mind! This is just not common in the Caribbean context. In this voice journal, I unpack what that means to me, how it lead to the launching of this series, and how I'm starting to think about my overall research project, now in its earliest stages.
